  1. Dear fellow believers,
  2. I am a phd student in the United Kingdom working in a journalism 
  3. department at  Sheffield University.  I am hoping to study the way the 
  4. media cover ufo incidents, and I would be glad of any opinionsthat you 
  5. may have.  I would particularly like any newspaper clippings of any 
  6. ufo-related events.  My hypothesis is that the media have played a 
  7. crucial role in marginalising ufology as sensational rubbish, completely 
  8. failing in most cases to treat incidents with objectivity and 
  9. sensibility.

  11. On a more informative note, are visitors to this page (whatever planet 
  12. you are from) aware of the recent (November 1995) sightings in the 
  13. eastern side of the United Kingdom?

  15. Several witnesses saw a bright, moving disc which appeared to have two 
  16. small cuts in the top and bottom.  One observer described it as being 
  17. like the bat-signal.  Several national newspapers in the UK covered the 
  18. story and included a photograph taken by one witness.  A close up of the 
  19. photo does indeed show a bright yellow disc , a bit like those seen in 
  20. Kaikura, new Zealand in 1978, but with small semi-circular indents at the 
  21. top and bottom.  No clear explanation was given as to what it could have 
  22. been-any views?
